Jicama is a vegetable known as a Mexican potato and can be found in the produce section of most grocery stores.  It is crunchy, delicious, and generally eaten raw or in salads.  The outer peel is fairly tough so be careful that your knife does not slip.  Choose one that is at least 4 1/2"e; in diameter for the daisies or you will need to adjust the size of your flowers.
